Chicago
We had a late start today as we didn’t have
too far to travel.
We travelled around the South rim of Chicago
in order to avoid the worst traffic of the
city.
There were a lot of rundown & derelict housing
surrounded by what seemed like very large
lawns. These were
actually empty lots where
housing had been demolished.
Large 'lawns' where once there were neighbourhoods.
We stopped at an awesome McDonalds for
lunch. It was designed like an old diner and
had huge replicas of Elvis,
the Blues Brothers
and James Dean. Well worth having
to eat the food.
Tonight we are in Indiana, staying at Merriville.
Tomorrow we pick up the trailer and can
finally
stop living out of bags and eating at
restaurants.
