the Harley Davidson factory - York -

Tried to stalk and photograph the ground hogs this morning but they’re
very uncooperative little buggas!
That really is a groundhog and not a lump of wood!
We drove
about 20 miles to York where Dad & I took a guided tour of a section of the Harley Davidson factory. We weren't
able to see the assembly department, as they are working on the new 2009 models so it is ‘top secret’ at the
moment.
The tour didn’t take very long thank goodness. I’m afraid the temperature in
there must have been around 120 deg F. It was quite a relief to get out and hit the air-conditioned gift shop!
Well this is the one he's already got ....
.... would he happen to be looking for the next one I wonder?
I
had been surprised that during the tour the robot that we had seen working was referred to as she. As we were leaving
I asked the guide why. (just the stupid sort of question that bugs me!)
Her
answer – "When it’s working it’s a she, when it’s not it’s a he”
Quite a
logical answer I thought.
The afternoon was spent in a huge air-conditioned mall and an awful lot
of shopping was accomplished. Heaven knows how I’m going to get it all home. I think I could single handedly
cause a new ‘high’ in excess baggage history.

- Harleys - true Americans!
Everywhere we travel we see Harleys.
All you need .... big truck, Harleys and lots of road.
